    I think a mystery story is when sobody or something is gone and they have to find clues about it,

    A mystery story is all about who,what,when,and where.Usually,you don't know what'll happen.You search for clues to help figure out the mystery.

    You are all on the right track. A mystery is a story that involves a problem that needs to be solved. You can find clues in the story that will help you figure out the solution to the problem.
